The Rusticated Duchess Cover

I’m so excited! In addition to the release of The Outcast Earl this week, I’ve just gotten the cover of book 2 in The Misbegotten Misses series back from the publisher. It’s so pretty!

Gloria isn’t exactly thrilled about her marriage to the Duke of Lennox’s heir, popularly known as Lord March. She’s even less happy about his death, and downright disgusted by the manner in which he went about dispatching himself.

Recoiling from the vicious gossips of London and the scandals she seems unable to escape, Gloria is relieved to take refuge on the shores of the Irish Sea. At least she’s relieved and content until Lord Clare, also an heir to a duke, shows up to inspect the family’s ancestral castle next door to Gloria’s tidy little cottage.

Gloria’s seclusion isn’t as much of a secret as she needs it to be, though. Will Clare come to her rescue, or will Gloria once again be caught up in the coils of men who want nothing more to use her to advance their own wealth?

Clare wasn’t looking for a woman when he arrived at the Castle where he’d buried his wife and raised his son. But the young lady who has taken up residence in the cottage that ought to belong to his family haunts his dreams.

Yes, he can rescue her physically. But can he break down the emotional walls she’s spent years constructing to protect her heart? And if he does, can he love her as tenderly and as compassionately as she’ll need him to?

Watch for The Rusticated Duchess, coming to your e-reader this spring.
